With Assa Abloy
LG Electronics said on Wednesday that it will collaborate with Assa Abloy to launch automatic doors using transparent OLED panels.
Assa Abloy, based in Sweden, makes doors, mechanical door locks, digital door locks and automatic doors. It has supplied its automatic doors to airports in London, Spain and South Korea.
LG’s 55-inch transparent OLED signage will be used for automatic doors. It will allow the doors to display advertisement, messages and building information.
As the transparent OLED signage doesn’t require a backlight like liquid crystal display does, it offers high light transmittance, LG said.
