LG expects TV demand to recover in 2nd half

LG Electronics expects demand for TVs to rebound in the second half of the year, the company said on Monday, and will display some of its key products at key shops globally to meet them.

The South Korean hardware maker said it was expanding displaying of its wallpaper-concept LG OLED Galleria TV, or GX, at key shops which has reopened after their closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The TVs were also being displayed at LG Best Shop and department stores in South Korea.

GX comes in 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch sizes. The 65-inch model has thinner than 20 millimeters but have the screen, speaker as well as drive and hanging components all embedded in its, LG stressed.

The “Galleria” design was applied to GX series as well as 77ZX, the company said.
