KT boss says 5G will bring B2B innovations

Business-to-business (B2B) will be central to 5G networks unlike previous mobile communication that focused on consumers, KT CEO Ku Hyeon-mo has said.

Speaking at an online keynote speech for GTI Summit 2020, Ku said operators needed to focus on the B2B sector when it comes to 5G. There will be explosive potential when the network is combined with artificial intelligence, big data and the cloud, the CEO said.

Ku also introduced KT’s application of 5G into media, healthcare and education sectors. “Operators must view 5G as a platform, beyond as a network, to create new values with various partners and consumers,” the CEO said.
