Semicon Light receives IATF 16949 certificate 

Company said it has secured a footing in the auto-component industry

LED flip chip maker Semicon Light has received the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949 certificate, the company said on Friday.

IATF 16949 is based on ISO 9001 and was standardized to meet customer demand fro the automobile industry. The certificate is given to those who pass the quality requirements in design, development, production and installation.

Semicon Light’s silver-free flip chip SKY series and cost-effective WSKY series can be used in automobile lighting.

SKY series has the electrode facing downward and has high power while WSKY series boasts high density and white conversion efficiency.

A Semicon Light spokesperson said the company has secured a footing in the auto-component industry from the certificate.

Company CEO Il-hong Park said the company expects sales to rise from UVC and auto-components in the second half of the year.
