Samsung launches new premium soundbar 

HW-Q950T supports 9.1.4-channel

Samsung Electronics has launched two new models __  HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T __ in its Q-series soundbar, the company said on Wednesday.

They will be launched in Australia first on Wednesday and expanded to other markets. Sales in South Korea will begin on July 14.

The HW-Q950T delivers the audio quality of 9.1.4-channel, the maximum number of channels for currently available home-theater systems in a single soundbar. 

The model packs in extra-powerful sound with two wireless rear up-firing speakers and also adds left and right wide channel speakers to the previous 7.1.4-channel system, Samsung said. It also also adds left and right wide channel speakers to the previous 7.1.4-channel system, allowing the audio output to express the motion on the screen in a more realistic way with greater immersion.

HW-Q900T delivers audio quality of 7.1.2-channel.

Both speakers support Dolby Atmos, along with DTS:X from DTS for multi-dimensional audio technology. 

They also include eARC support to produce full, rich and high-quality surround sound like Dolby TrueHD.

The speakers can also be synced with 2020-model QLED TVs that activates Q-symphony by playing surround sound from both the TV and the soundbar.

Samsung reduced the height of both of models to 69.5mm from 83mm of the 2019-models to make if fit better with the TV. The soundbars are also wrapped in Kvadrat textile, adding premium elegance while maximizing sound penetration.
 
HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T will cost 1.9 million won and 1.4 million won, respectively, in South Korea.
