Samsung to hold 6th programming competition for college students

The contest will have a 100 million won purse

Samsung Electronics will hold its sixth Samsung Collegiate Programming Cup (SCPC), the company said on Tuesday.

University students in any major can apply for the cup at Samsung Research’s homepage by August 18.

The first and second preliminary rounds will commence on August 21 and September 5, respectively, online at Code Ground’s site.

The finals will kick off on September 26 at Samsung’s research and development center at Yangjae, Seoul. The contest has a purse of 100 million won and the winners will also get an advantage in Samsung's hiring.

SCPC started in 2016 and 20,000 people from 27 different countries has participated so far, Samsung said.
