Semes rewards top suppliers
MSK Korea wins 100 million won prize
South Korea’s largest semiconductor and display equipment maker Semes have given rewards to its top suppliers, the company said on Thursday.
The ceremony was hosted by Semes CEO Kang Chang-jin with CEOs from 21 of its suppliers in attendance.
Semes said it kept social distancing measures and invited few people has possible in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
MKS Korea, which suppliers generator components for etching equipment, received the top award which comes with a 100 million won cash prize.
Semes also award 12 companies for cost saving and 3 for quality. These companies were given trophies and cash rewards as well.
“Semes marked five straight years of sales over 1 trillion won as of last year thanks to its top quality and manufacturing competence, and this was possible from the support of our suppliers,” Kang said in a statement. “We will continue our organic partnership [with our suppliers] for co-growth.”
