LG Electronics has launched the 48-inch OLED TV (48CX) in South Korea.

The TV will cost 1.89 million won. It was launched in Europe and Japan last month.

LG said the TVs were sold out in the first week at those countries and it was expanding the sales to Korea backed by that popularity.

The TV boasts a resolution of 3840x2160, level to that of a 96-inch 8K (7680x4320), the company said.

The 48-inch OLED TV also has a fast response time, making it optimal for gaming.  It supports Nvidia G-Sync and comes with an artificial intelligence processor to optimize sound and video. It also supports Dolby Vision IQ and Film Maker mode.

LG also offers 88, 77, 65 and 55 inch OLED TVs. It launched a 88-inch 8K OLED TV last year.
