Cisco supplies SD-WAN to Lotte Group

Cisco and Lotte Data Communication has built a new network for Lotte Group based on SD-WAN solutions, the companies said on Wednesday.

Cisco’s SD-WAN, or software-defined wide-area network, was designed support Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application that exploded from cloud, unlike previous WAN, the company said.

It provides visibility to IT operators for the entire network which allows them to find errors fast and react, Cisco said. It also has its own security architecture, the company added.

The new network will allow Lotte to flexible react to the fast-paced market environment, Cisco said.
