South Korean telco LG Uplus will export its augmented reality (AR) education content to its Japanese counterpart KDDI, the telco said.

KDDI will call the service Magic Library, which will launch next month in Japan.

LG Uplus said the service has over 230 English children’s book from publishers such as DK, Penguin Random House, Oxford, Ladybird and Mattel. The carrier turned them into 3D AR format for its service, it said.

The contents can be viewed on smartphones and TVs.

LG Uplus has previously exported the service to China Telecom last year. It sold it to Hong Kong Telecom and Chunghwa Telecom of Taiwan earlier this year.
