Dreamtech has launched its new medical brand called i.SigNal, the company said.

The company also launched its wearable electrocardiogram (ECG) patch dubbed Cardea SOLO, it said.

i.SigNal combined the words ICT and signal (which could stand for vital signs), Dreamtech said.

The company also formed a new dedicated group for the medical device business.

Cardea SOLO will be the first product of the brand.

The disposable wireless patch was approved by South Korean health authorities for commercialization last month. It received FDA-approval back in 2017.

The patch can monitor ECG data for seven straight days. Arrhythmia can be detected with 96.6% accuracy. Patients can get their results from hospitals within five minutes after they turn in their patches to hospitals.

Dreamtech will launch the patch in Asia Pacific markets, it said. The company also plans to launch products for measuring blood pressures at a later date.
