LG launches rollable Signature OLED R

LG Electronics has begun sales of its rollable TV in South Korea.

LG Signature OLED R will cost 100 million won (US$87,000).

The TVs will be displayed on the company’s premium stores, starting with LG Electronics Best Shop in the affluent Gangnam district.

The TV has a 65-inch OLED screen that can roll in and out of an aluminum body.

Customers can have the screen rolled down into the body when not viewing. They can also roll it out partially in a mode called Line View to use the screen as a dashboard.

The body can also be used a Bluetooth speaker at 4.2 channel and 100W.

OLED R is produced at LG’s Gumi facility in South Korea, where high-end TVs are produced. 

LG is also offering an engraving service where customers can put in their name or messages on the body. 

The rollable TV is offered with a 3-year warranty and twice a year inspection service.
