LG provides 8K OLED TV for Marvel Studios

LG Display has singed an organic light emitting diode (OLED) partnership agreement with Disney StudioLAB, a subsidiary of Walt Disney.

The partnership will last threes, the South Korean display panel maker said. Disney StudioLAB is Disney’s research arm that works on advanced filming and editing technologies.

LG Display has supplied OLED TVs to Water Disney Studio for use in content production. 

An 88-inch 8K OLED TV has been supplied to Marvel Studios for use in editing, LG Display said. It will be used to adjust the color and put in computer graphics.

The pair will also work on various projects to combine OLED technology with Disney contents, LG Display added.
