The Korea Display Industry Association (KDIA) said on Wednesday that it will form a consortium of companies to help them with exporting equipment, components and materials related to display panels to China.

The consortium will hold online talks with Chinese panel companies in Wuhan, Chengdu and Shenzhen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The consortium was aimed at advancing the export structure for South Korea companies and to help them expand abroad step by step, KDIA said.

In November, there will be target buyer discovery and pre-meeting matching. The consortium will also produce promotional materials during the month. On November 27, there will be one-on-one online meetings with Chinese panel companies and Chinese buyers.

KDIA plans to secure purchasing and technology personnel from BOE, CSOT, Tianma and Visionox for the meetings, it said.

In December, the association will provide support for more meeting with buyers, shipment of samples and offer consulting services to the South Korean companies.

A total of ten companies will take part in the consortium.

Last month, KDIA formed a separate consortium of companies to take part in C-Touch & Display Shenzhen 2020 conference.
