Iljin named fuel tank supplier by Hyundai

Iljin Composites have been named the fuel tank supplier by Hyundai Motor for its hydrogen electric trucks.

This is the third order that Iljin has won for hydrogen cars from the South Korea automobile giant.

Iljin had supplied fuel tanks for Hyundai’s Tucson electric vehicle in 2014. It was the exclusive supplier of fuel tanks for Nexo for Hyundai since 2018.

Iljin is also supplying fuel tanks for hydrogen electric buses for the government.

The South Korean government is planning to supply 150,000 units of electric cars by 2040.
