Samsung launches Tizen-powered smart monitors

Wi-Fi monitor offers DeX and Apple AirPlay 2

Samsung Electronics said on Monday that it will begin sales of its smart monitors in South Korea.

The 32-inch UHD M7 and FHD M5 (32-inch, 27-inch) monitors have the Tizen OS-based smart hub that allows them to offer contents without being connected to a computer.

They can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi and offers OTT services such as YouTube, Netflix and Wave.

The monitors also offer remote access and Microsoft Office 365 cloud service.

They also come with a remote control that supports Bixby voice recognition.

The monitors also support Samsung DeX, smartphones mirroring and tap view that allows smartphone screens to be loaded on the monitor. They also support Apple AirPlay 2.

It offers 65W charging through USB-C type port (only for the M7) and 10Gbps data transfer speed. It also has USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.2.

The screens on the monitors also come with adaptive picture and eye saver to protect eye sights.

They come with 2-channel 5W speakers that are installed inside the monitors.
