Hanmi files 2nd patent lawsuit against Genesem 

Hanmi Semiconductor has filed a patent lawsuit against Genesem to the Seoul Central District Court, the company said on Friday.

Hanmi claimed its rival violated its core technology patents related to its Vision Placement equipment.

This is the second time the company has filed a patent lawsuit against Genesem. Hanmi had filed its first suit in April 2018 __ the company had won the case in the district court and then the appellate court. The case is being reviewed by the Supreme Court.

Hanmi had 859 granted intellectual properties, including 715 patents.

Vision Placement equipment is used in semiconductor package cleaning, drying, inspecting, sorting and loading.
