Company in talks with European firm to launch system

Mcnex unveiled its in-cabin camera system at CES 2021.

The system offers driver and occupant monitoring in side cars.

This is increase safety for passengers, Mcnex said.

Such system is applied more and more by automobile companies in preparation of the self-driving cars, the South Korean company said.

Mcnex was in talks to commercialize the in-cabin camera system with a European car maker, the firm added.

The South Korean company was also in talks with Samsung subsidiary Harman to develop mirrorless camera and smart room mirror.

These will replace side mirrors in cars. A camera will also be placed the shark fin at the pack of the car that will show the car’s surroundings through the room mirror.

Such technologies will eliminate blind spots to help with driving and parking, Mcnex said.

The company was also working on biometric services such as fingerprint recognition based smart key as well as facial and iris-based security systems.
