Samsung to hold shareholders’ meeting on March 17

Company to provide live online broadcasting

Samsung Electronics said on Tuesday that it will be holding its 52nd annual shareholders’ meeting at Suwon Convention Center on March 17.

The dividend plan, which added 10.7 trillion won recently, and financial statements for 2021 will be proposed for approval.

The motion to rename Kim Ki-nam, HS Kim and DJ Koh as inside directors as well as Park Byung-gook and Kim Jong-hoon as independent directors will also be proposed. The appointment of independent director Kim Seon-wook will also be proposed. The salary cap for directors will also be proposed for approval.

Samsung will provide an electronic voting system so that shareholders do not have to be physically present to vote. Shareholders can put in their vote between March 7 to 16.

The company will also broadcast the shareholders’ meeting live online. Shareholders must apply for the online broadcasting and also register questions beforehand.

The shareholders can also ask questions live during the broadcasting.
