Iljin to supply 60 bil won won worth of power lines to KEPCO

Iljin Electric said on Wednesday that it will supply 60.1 billion won worth of power line to Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).

The lines will be used by the national utility to supply power produced at Dangjin Thermal Power Plant on west coast to Godeok Samsung Industrial Park at Pyeongtaek, 24km away.

Samsung is planning to build an additional semiconductor factory at the park.

The 345kV Godeok-West Anseong line will comprise of 9km overhead line and 15km underground line. Iljin will be supplying 8.5km of the underground line.

Once construction is complete, power sent will to the park will expand from 600MW to 2000MW.
