LG to offer benefits for OLED TV purchases in Korea

LG Electronics said on Wednesday that it will be offering various benefits for consumers in South Korea who buy an OLED TV at offline stores by April.

Those who buy LG Signature OLED 8K will get up to 2 million won worth of benefits.

For consumers who buy a 77-inch OLED TV, if they buy an additional 55-inch or 48-inch OLED TV with it, the company will offer 100,000 won in benefits.

The company said it was running the promotion program to celebrate its 55 years making and selling TVs. 

LG was the first company in South Korea to launch a black and white TV back in 1966. It launched a color TV in 1977. In 1999, the company started selling plasma display panel and liquid crystal display TVs. It launched OLED TVs in 2013.
