LG Display said on Wednesday that its OLED TV panel has received the Discomfort Glare Free approval from Underwriters Laboratories (UL).

UL used CIE’s Unified Glare Rating for its test. UGR must be 22 points or below from the TV panel at light settings between 70lx to 300lx for approval.

All of LG Display’s OLED panels aimed at TVs received the approval from UL, the company said.

The panels also previously received certifications from global institute for low blue light and for being flicker-free.

LG has touted its 8K OLED TV as having over 33 million individual pixels emitting light on their own for high contrast ratio and color accuracy.
