Zinitix supplies touch IC to FitBit

South Korea fabless chip firm Zinitix said on Monday that it has supplied its wearable touch IC to FitBit.

The chips are being used in the latest tracker model launched by FitBit, the Korean firm said.

Touch controller IC accounts for around 90% of Zinitix’s sales. Samsung is its customer, which uses the chips in its Galaxy smartphones.

Zinitix has been expanding abroad for the past couple of years. It now supplies chips to Chinese companies Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and BBK.

The firm is hoping to expand in the US as well. Zinitix said interest in wearable devices for healthcare has increased from the COVID-19 pandemic.
