SemiFive joins Arm Ecosystem
Samsung Foundry to handle manufacturing

Arm said on Thursday that South Korean design house SemiFive has joined the Arm Ecosytem.
SemiFive will now have access to Arm’s Cortex-A, Cortex-R, Cortex-M CPUm Mali GPU, Ethos NPU and other architecture Ips.
The Korean firm plans to use Arm’s IP to deisgn custom system-on-a-chip and application-specific ICs for customers.
SemiFive will use Samsung Foundry as the contract manufacturer of the chips.
The Korean firm said the partnership will save it costs and reduce lead time.
