SK Telesys said on Thursday that it will sell its telecom kit subsidiary SKC Infraservice to Pantech C&I for 78.9 billion won.

SKC Infraservice offers telecom kit as well as network repair and maintenance services.

The deal will be concluded by August. SKC and SK Telesys said they will use the fund from the sales to focus on their semiconductor business.

Last year, SKC turned its semiconductor material subsidiary SKC Solmics into a wholly owned subsidiary. It also integrated its semiconductor material busines to SKC Solmics.

SKC started restructuring its business in 2017 to focus on mobility, semiconductor and environmentally friendly businesses. In 2020, SKC acquired copper foil firm SK Nexilis. SK Nexilis is planning to build new facilities in Malaysia and Europe. It is hoping to secure 200,000 metric tonnes per year production capacity by 2025.
