PI Advanced Materials to list on KOSPI

PI Advanced Materials will list on KOSPI and its shares will starting trading August 9, the company said.

The firm first listed on KOSDAQ in December, 2014.

The Korea Exchange approved of the transfer, PI Advanced Materials said on Tuesday.

A company spokesperson said it hopes to join the KOSPI 200 index.

PI Advanced Materials will launch specialty materials for 5G, electric vehicle, display and semiconductor applications going forward, they said.

The company begin construction of its eighth polyimide film factory in November and also shared that it plans to expand its lithium-ion battery film production capacity.

Last year, the company posted 261.8 billion won in sales, double its sales of 137.1 billion won in 2014.
