Surplus Global moves HQ to new building at Yongin 

'Company creates one-stop shop for chip equipment'

Surplus Global, a South Korean pre-owned fab equipment seller, said on Tuesday that it has moved its headquarters and exhibition zone to its new building at Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.

The new exhibition zone at Yongin is three times larger than its previous one at Osan.

The new zone also has a clean room is run at constant temperature and humidity, Surplus Global said.

Surplus Global CEO Brian Kim said the firm has created a one-stop platform for pre-owned fab equipment with its super large clean room and some thousand equipment at the new site.

Besides selling pre-owned equipment, the new headquarters will manufacture 300mm thin film wafers for research and development, offer product analysis services, rent out research spaces, offer training on equipment use and incubate related startups.

Kim said the company aims to make the Yongin semiconductor cluster a hub for global pre-owned fab equipment sales, services and components.
