Semiconductor component firm MK Electronics said on Thursday that it will acquire Dongbu nTech, a subsidiary of Dongbu Corporation.

MK Electron has agreed to buy 100% share of Dongbu nTech for 45.45 billion won on September 30.

Dongbu nTech specializes in waste disposal, facility maintenance and management services.

The company operates eight waste disposal facilities and one waste water processing facility.

Last year, the company posted 42.5 billion won in sales and 4.3 billion won in operating income.

It is expanding into tape, film and lithium-ion battery material businesses. Last year, the company recorded 476.5 billion won in sales and 10.9 billion won in operating income.
