Intel unveils Xeon E-2300 server processors 

Aimed at small and medium businesses

Intel on Thursday unveiled the Xeon E-2300 server processor aimed at small and medium businesses.

The processor uses Intel’s C250 series chipset and has 17% increased performance compared to its predecessor, the company said.

Memory speed has also increased 23% from the previous generation. The chip also supports Intel Turbot Boost and offers up to 5.1GWh spectrum.

The processor comes in a slew of options including PCIe 4.0, more PCIe 3.0 slots and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 that supports up to 20Gbps, SATA 3.0 and others.

It also syncs with Window Server 2022 and other latest versions of server operating systems.

The chip comes in four, six and eight core versions. There are 10 products that range from 65W to 95W in total.
