Samsung Display to supply Asus with 90Hz OLED for notebooks
South Korean firm begins mass production of panels

Samsung Display said on Thursday that it has begun supplying Taiwanese notebook maker Asus with 90Hz refresh rate OLED panels for use in notebooks.
It is the company’s first 90Hz OLED panels.
The panels will be used in Asus’ 14-inch notebooks Zenbook and Vivobook Pro series.
Samsung Display said it will also begin production of a 16-inch 60Hz 4K OLED panel.
This panel will also go into the same notebook series.
Samsung Display is currently supplying its OLED panels for notebooks to Lenovo, Dell, HP and Samsung Electronics.
The company said OLED panels have a faster response time compared to liquid crystal display panels, so they offer more natural-looking resolution even at lower refresh rates.
