Oceanbridge said on Monday that it will be supplying 30.2 billion worth of central chemical supply systems to SK Hynix and SK Ecoplant for use in wafer fabrication.

The deal is equivalent to 33% of its annual sales of 91.6 billion won last year.

It is also worth 76.2% of its total fab equipment orders of 39.6 billion won in 2020.

Oceanbridge said it has in total 55 billion won of remaining orders for fab equipment for 2021.

The company began supplying chemical supply systems in 2014. It hired ex-SK Hynix president Lee Seok-kyu earlier this year to strengthen its semiconductor business.

An Oceanbridge spokesperson said the company had also won 5.4 billion won worth of orders this year for equipment used in lithium-ion battery production.

The company will continue to diversify its portfolio, they added.

Oceanbridge is also spending 6.5 billion won to build a new special gas plant to expand its chemical business.
