Movensys acquires Photomechanic to strengthen motion control business

Motion control firm Movensys has acquired Photomechanics which has technology related to anti-vibration control technology.

Movensys offers a pure software motion control solution to control equipment in factories. It changed its name from Soft Motions & Robotics early this year.

Its main product is Windows-based motion control for eXpert which comes with its EtherCAT Soft Master software. This allows for Windows PCs to control all the machines in various axes.

Photomechanics offers signal measuring and analysis solutions for motor-operated production and inspection equipment.

It offers its anti-vibration system, a software that minimizes vibration in these equipment used in semiconductor, display and LED production.

The software measures the vibration and adds a counter vibration to cancel out any vibration.

This reduces facility efficiency and lowers defect rates, Movensys said.
