PI Advanced Materials records 80 billion won sales in Q3
Its highest quarterly figure
PI Advanced Materials said on Monday that it has hit 80 billion won in sales during the third quarter.
It is its highest quarterly sales figure to date. The company also recorded 19.2 billion won in operating income, an increase of 20.5% year-on-year.
Out of its total sales, it saw the highest sales from polyimide films for flexible printed circuit boards of 33 billion won, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year.
Sales from heat resistant sheets was 28.4 billion won during the quarter, while materials for advanced application contributed 18.8 billion won.
Sales of materials such as films and varnishes for advanced applications came from supply for use in batteries and electric vehicles, PI Advanced Materials said.
Sales also benefited from high demand for films in OLED and foldable panels, the company added.
PI Advanced Materials added that it was hoping the join the KOSPI 200 index in December.
