LG InnoTek has won a lawsuit it filed against Truwin over the development of an infrared camera.

The South Korean component maker had said the camera sensor developer had failed to provide a sample within the agreed-upon deadline.

The pair had agreed to co-develop an infrared camera sensor back in 2018.

LG InnoTek filed the suit last year in April, seeking compensation from Truwin for meeting contractual obligations.

The Seoul Central District Court last week took the side of LG InnoTek and ordered Truwin to pay 3.3 billion won.

The South Korean component maker had paid 2.5 billion won in cash to Truwin for the project.

The compensation includes this amount as well as the accrued interest over the missed deadline, which was 2019.

LG InnoTek declined to comment on the matter. A spokesperson for Truwin, meanwhile, said the company is planning to appeal.
