Samsung Display said on Sunday that it has collaborated with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information to develop a simulation platform to evaluate OLED materials.

Called Sync-OLED, the platform can simulate the basic characteristics of OLED materials and movements of electrons.

It was under development since 2020 to be provided to material suppliers to help them save costs on purchasing similar software and hiring professionals in the field.

Any material companies, even if they are not a supplier to Samsung Display, can use the platform after agreeing on the term of use, the South Korean panel maker said.
