Display equipment maker SFA said on Tuesday that it has recorded 1.56 trillion won in revenue and 188.9 billion won in operating profit for the entire year of 2021.

Revenue was level to that of 2020 while operating profit jumped 12.91%.

Its subsidiary SFA contributed 641.1 billion won in revenue and 66.5 billion won in operating profit, an increase of 11.9% and 93.9%, respectively, from 2020.

SFA CEO Kim Young-min said the company was successfully expanding into battery, logistics and semiconductor sectors for production equipment.

SFA Semicon’s earnings were boosted by the company’s strengthening of competence amid the boom in the chip industry, Kim added.

Going forward, SFA will focus on developing next-generation display equipment such as those for MicroLED, the company said.

It will also continue to expand revenue in equipment for battery, logistics and semiconductors.

It will also continue foster its smart factory solutions, offering them in turn-key and applying AI and smart technologies, SFA said.

In fab equipment, it is planning to offer overhead transport and lifters to a customer’s main fab, CEO Kim said.

It is already offering a logistics system as well as an in-line CT equipment for battery makers, he added.

Kim said the company is also planning to make production equipment for image sensors, automotive chips and flip chips.
