Battery equipment maker Nain Tech said on Friday that it plans to enter the e-mobility battery pack market.

The firm said it has acquired a 60% stake in Talos, a firm specializing in battery and battery charging for military applications, on Thursday for this.

The pair had signed a patent sharing agreement last month.

Talos currently supplies its battery packs to defense contractors such as Hanwha Systems and LIG Nex1. These packs are used in missiles and radios.

Nain Tech said its new subsidiary had remaining orders for the next three years that will guarantee revenue.

The equipment maker said it will use Talos’ technologies to offer battery packs for e-mobility products going forward.

Nain Tech currently supplies its lamination equipment to South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution.
