Hana Technology to acquire new land for additional factory

Company to spend more on facilities this year

Battery equipment maker Hana Technology is planning to spend more on facilities in 2022 compared to a year ago, TheElec has learned.

This includes acquiring additional space to build another factory, sources said.

Hana Technology currently has production facilities on 39,969 meter-square of land; the company is planning to space equivalent to this to build more production facilities, they added.

The company currently has 162.2 billion won worth of remaining orders, 121.2% more than it had in 2020.

Last year, it recorded 110.7 billion won in revenue and is aiming to mark over 500 billion won in 2023.

Hana Technology is aiming to win more orders from main customer SK On this year.

It lost to rival Mplus for SK On’s latest order for packaging equipment to be used at their factory in Ivansca, Hungary.

Hana Technology is looking to win equipment orders from Blue Oval SK, the joint venture between SK On and Ford, for factories in the US, the sources said.

Hana Technology is also aiming to win more orders from Volkswagen, they added.
