KSIA names new vice chairman

Korea Semiconductor Industry Association (KISA) has named a new executive vice chairman.

KSIA said Monday Lee Chang-han, formely the director of planning and coordination at the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, was named to the post in unanimous decision by the board.

Lee’s tenure will last 3 years. He formerly spent time in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Science and Technology, working on industry policy. He is an expert in semiconductors, telecommunication and sciences, KSIA said.

He was born in 1957 and graduated Seoul National University. He received his MA from the University of Missouri and doctorate from Kyung Hee University. He started his life in government after passing the 18th civil service examination.
