Telco eyes more deals in Asia

SK Telecom and Igloo Security will export their security solutions to Myanmar, the companies announced Tuesday.

KOSDAQ-listed Igloo will supply its security information and event management (SIEM) solution, while the South Korean telco will offer security consulting for Myanmar’s National Cyber Security Center, which is under the country’s Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Igloo’s closing price on Tuesday rose 4.12% from the day before.

SK Telecom the deal was its first with a foreign government agency and will lay the foundation for its expansion in Asia.

SIEM provide real-time analysis of security alerts generated by applications and network and server hardware.
