
Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G mobile platform on Wednesday.
The US chip giant said CPU and GPU speed has increased 10% from Snapdragon 865.
Data transfer rate has increased to 3.6Gbps from 1Gbps of is predecessor.
The CPU uses Qualcomm Kryo 585 Prime Core. It also offers speed of 3.1GHz, the first for a Qualcomm application processor to break the 3GHz threshold.
Qualcomm Adreno 650 is used as the GPU that clocks in a speed of 587MHz.
The platform uses Qualcomm X55 5G Modem-RF as the cellular modem. It supports data transfer ate of up to 7.5Gbps. It also features Qualcomm's new FastConnect 6900 mobile connectivity system for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that's capable of speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps.
Smartphones and tablets that uses Snapdragon 865 Plus will be announced within the quarter, the company said.
