KT Powertel said on Tuesday that it aims to secure 36 billion won in annual sales from its IoT business in 2023.
The company is expecting the business contribute 8 billion won in sales in 2020.
Its services include mobile data terminal, digital tacho graph and powertel positioning service.
The company will also form a new IoT group focused on mobility and enhanced machine type communications services.
KT Powertel said it wanted to focus upgrading its advanced driver assistance system, mobile data terminal and digital techo graphs offers.
It will expand into school buses __ which will now require to install system that check whether children are onboard __ cold chain industry.
The company will collaborate with other KT affiliates in enhanced machine type communications services, it said.
