Samsung Display has shown off the durability of its folding OLED display panel in a video posted on YouTube.
The clip, titled Unfold the Brilliant Future, shows its OLED panel going through the 200,000 folding test.
The panel is used for Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Z Fold 2 foldable smartphone.
The video is in vlog form where it takes viewers to Samsung Display’s Asan campus to see the 200,000 folding test.
Samsung Display explained it plans to upload multiple clips that each explain the folding technology, ultrathin glass, adaptive frequency that optimizes the refresh rate, Iris Ring technology that secures uniform resolution around the punch-hole where the camera is placed, EyeCare feature that decreases harmful blue light and the diamond-shaped pixel used for the panels.
Folding technology clip has been uploaded. The remaining six will be uploaded on a weekly basis.
