For its automotive competence
Nextchip has received the CMMI V2.0 Level 3 certification, the company said on Monday.
Maturity Level 3 proves that the company’s competence in the automotive sector, it said.
Nextchip received the CMMI V1.3 Level 3 certification back in 2014.
The company was the first in South Korea to receive the appraisal, a spokesperson said, and it will allow the firm’s semiconductors to be chosen by local and global automobile markets going forward.
In March, Nextchip received the Automotive SPICE Level 3 certification for software as well.
