Samsung Electronics has topped Apple in smartphone sales in the US in the third quarter, according to Strategy Analytics.
It is the first in three years __ the Korean tech giant previously beat Cupertino for the top spot in the second quarter of 2017.
Samsung sold 10.4 billion smartphones in the quarter for a market share of 33.7%.
This was followed by Apple’s 9.3 million units, which equaled 30.3% share.
LG Electronics was third with 4.5 million units and 14.7% market share.
A total of 30.8 million units of smartphones were sold in the US during the quarter.
