For being environmentally friendly
LG Display’s OLED TV panel has received approval from Swiss-based SGS.
The panel received the certifications for reducing indoor pollution, reducing hazardous substance and for recycling values, the Korean tech firm said.
LG said its OLED TV panel emitted 50% less total volatile organic compounds compared to its liquid crystal display panels.
This was thanks to OLED panels requiring less components, the company said.
LG also stressed that its panels don’t use cadmium and indium phosphide that are harmful to humans.
