ISC said on Tuesday that it will produce microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)-based fine-pitch semiconductor test solution.
The company said the solution combines a test board with a test socket.
A South Korean customer who tested the solution showed that it improved by 90% in performance compared to its predecessor, ISC said.
Supply of the solution will begin next year. This will help the company increase its sales by 20%, the firm said.
The solution’s development was supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
ISC said it was expanding its test board business. Before, it mostly focused on semiconductor test sockets.
Semiconductor supply is increasing for devices from trends such as 5G and artificial intelligence, which is leading to rising demand for ultra fine-pitch semiconductors, the company said.
