Western Digital on Thursday launched four 4TB portable solid-state drives (SSD) aimed at consumers.
They are: Sandisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD, Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD, WD Black P50 Game Drive SSD and WD My Passport SSD.
The new SSDs will be optimal for use by gamers, content creators, those who love filming and creative experts, Western Digital said.
Sandisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD is NVMe-based and offers 2,000MB/s max read and write speed.
Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD has a max read speed of 1,050MB/s and max write speed of 1,000MB/s.
WD Black P50 Game Drive SSD offers 2,000MB/s max read speed which will reduce screen loading and game starting time for gamers. WD My Passport SSD offers a max read speed of 1,050MB/s and max write speed of 1,000MB/s.
The new SSDs will begin sales on April 5 in South Korea with the exception of WD Back P50 which will go on sale at a later date.
