Samsung Electronics said on Friday that its 5G network equipment has received certificate from Common Criteria.
Its 5G gNB, AU and DU were inspected by Canadian security firm Lightship, and received the Protection Profile (PP) certificate in November.
Samsung said it aimed for the certificate as its network business was expanding in multiple direction and its 5G equipment were being supplied to the North American region.
The company’s 5G base station was also registered on the Product Compliant List of the NIAP under the NSA. They were also registered on the Certified Product list of Canada’s CSE.
Samsung will continue to aim secure supply chain completeness and communicate with its customers to become a trusted 5G supplier, the company added.
