Samsung Electronics will begin sales of its mid-tier Galaxy A42 5G smartphone in South Korea on Friday.

The smartphone packs a 6.6-inch screen, quad camera and a 5,000mAh battery. It has what Samsung calls a layered pattern design on its back cover.

The cameras on its back are 48MP main, 8MP ultra wide, 5MP depth and 5MP macro. It will have a 20MP front camera as well.

The retail price is 449,900 won and it will come in black, white and gray colors.

Samsung will offer up to 20% in discount for those pre-ordering the phone on some online malls.

Those who buy Galaxy A42 5G before March 31 will also get a 50% discount when they by Galaxy Buds Live earphones.
